Kaydence's Peanut Allergy

We found out on May 21st that Ms. Kaydence does in fact have a peanut allergy. She is a stage 3 allergy which is not the most severe (7 is the most severe) but she is also not the least severe. I spoke with the Dr on Monday and she gave me a quick run down of the allergy and what to avoid. Basically we cannot have any peanut, may contain peanuts, or peanut oil products in the house. Because of how severe Kaydence's last reaction was (her eyes started to swell and she had bright red hives, we were perscribed an EpiPen, which is to be used if ANY sign of a reaction is present. We have been so fortunate with the girls health and although this is a VERY bad and hard allergy to stay on top of we are thankful this is the only major issue we have had so far. It's very important for our family to take this allergy seriously and check labels and double check restaurants, etc so we can keep our little Kaydence safe. She also told me Peanut Allergy's are not typically an allergy that you grow out of like an egg or milk allergy so it's really a lifetime commitment.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far!
