It seems as though Thanksgiving ran right into December this year....it all just happened so fast! Thanksgiving was great! We had a fabulous dinner with great family and friends! We did our usual, going around the table asking everyone to say what they are thankful for and when we asked Kaydence she said.."Addy", it was the cutest thing ever. The entire table said "Awww" in unison! That was Kaydence & Addyson's favorite word that day. Every time anyone would take a picture, they would say "aww, let me see". They must get this from us always taking their picture and then saying "aww so cute" and looking at the picture. They pick things up so fast!
December has been a very eventful month! Nahna and Papa came to visit mid-December and we got to celebrate an early Christmas! The girls were so much fun, and LOVED the process of opening up presents. The first present they opened was some Elmo underwear, and they were soooo excited! They were so excited to see Nahna and Papa and still wake up asking where they are. It was a great visit and the girls really had a blast hanging with them!
They have both learned the songs Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, jingle bells, Santa Clause is coming to town, Frosty the snowman and silent night and we have been hearing them over and over again all month long! They were great with Santa this year. We weren't sure how they were going to react but they did GREAT. They actually ran right up to Santa and sat on his lap and gave him hugs and everything. We were very impressed!
Christmas was great! We were actually surprised with a beautiful White Christmas!! It snowed all day Christmas Eve and we woke up to a perfectly beautiful White Christmas. We could not have asked for anything more! We had fun playing in the snow and making little frosty's!
Kaydence has got the tune of the ABC's down! She can now make it from A-Z including the ending of the song! She can count to 13, and she is slowly but surely learning her colors. She knows the difference between blue, orange, yellow and purple but cant quite place the others yet. We play this game where we roll the ball back and forth and say our name and our favorite color. Kaydence ALWAYS says her name is Addyson when I ask her name. I'm not sure if she is trying to pull one over on me or what because she knows her name is Kaydence, but she insists on saying her name is "Addyson" and says Addyson is "Addy" whenever we play that game. She has always said her favorite color is blue but now she says its blue and red (I think this is because I always say my favorite is red). She is still our little singer. She likes to stand on top of something and belt out Twinkle Twinkle little star...I have a video that I need to share with you, its precious! That's about where Kaydence is right now, she is definitely learning more and picking up on new things everyday. They continue to wow us everyday with their brilliant minds and creative ways!
Addyson is a little fire ball and the biggest goof ball ever!!! She has some serious gusto in her blood! She is so strong and has so much energy in that little body of hers! She can do full somersaults and loves to dance! She is extremely advanced in her athletic ability.....and shes already got Daddy excited about it! She loves to sing too! She's so funny. She will stand up on a pedestal and say "me me me me me", like she's clearing her throat and then she will belt twinkle twinkle while holding up her arms as she is hitting a high note! It is hilarious! She's so silly and loves to entertain, just like her Daddy. When we try to take a family picture she will pull her lips and stick out her tongue and make a silly face just as we take the picture. Today I asked Addyson what her name was and she said "Aggro Addy" in a monsterish teeth gritting voice. She is just too funny!
They are both into dress up and love to put on their ballerina skirts and play heels. Kaydence is a pro in her heels. She can run and jump in them....very scary!!
Jer is doing great at work. He had his first weekend off in months over Christmas weekend. We actually got Daddy all to ourselves for 4 whole days...it was AWESOME!!!! He has next weekend off too, and then back to a hectic schedule of working and installing every weekend!
