Happy 2010

The first update of 2010!!
Our New Years was GREAT! The girls, Daddy, and I began the New Year festivities by continuing our family tradition and making shortbread! They enjoyed getting their hands in and mixing and baking!
We kicked off New Years eve a little early this year! The girls and I went to a Countdown to Noon party! It was a blast! The girls made lots of noise, sprayed silly string and danced with their friends! It was lots of fun!
Then we had dinner with MiMi, Michelle and Welson and Mommy and Daddy at a Japanese Restaurant called Hibachi Rock. Some fun things happened there. A & K were introduced to lots of new things;Edamame, chopsticks and WASABI!!!! Both of the girls were picking up the Edamame seeds with their chopsticks by the end of the night...and there were no rubber bands or ties involved. They actually held the chopsticks with their fingers and were able to pick up the little peas on their own. It was AMAZING! They are naturals! Then Addyson decided to grab Daddy's chopsticks just as he finished putting some Wisabi on his plate. She then proceeded to stick the chopsticks in her mouth and within seconds her face turned bright red and her eyes started watering...poor girl. She was a trooper though! After dinner we came home and played lots of games on the Wii. Addyson and Kaydence made it all the way to Midnight! I couldn't believe it but they did, and they were in nice chipper moods the entire night! I think that's the one and only time we will allow that though because when it was time for bed they weren't so thrilled and the next morning was a bit rough!

We have had a wonderful 2010 so far! A & K are no longer potty training, they are back in diapers. They just aren't ready for it. We continue to go on the potty but its not fully enforced. We're allowing them to move at their own pace for now and around 2 1/2 we will begin encouraging it full force again.
Today the girls had their first Kindermusic class. THEY LOVE IT! They are so musically inclined, can keep a beat and memorize a song within minutes so this class is perfect for them! They were the leaders of the class. Kaydence acted as the conductor and made sure to correct the others when they were not using the insruments correctly. She made sure to walk around and participate with everyone. When the other children would walk in and were unwilling to participate Kaydence made sure to get them invloved. I hope we don't have a Mrs Bossy Boss on our hands but think we just might. Everyone just loved her and could not stop talking about how outgoing and friendly she is! Addyson was more calm and stayed in my lap and participated as she was supposed to. She followed the teacher and was singing and dancing to the tune. At the end she went around and gave everyone a hug and thanked them! She was such a little sweetie!

Time goes by way too fast! I can hardly believe it is already 2010!! We wish you all a happy and healthy 2010!!
